Ashley Gros receives prestigious AOTF Fred Sammons Endowed Scholarship

Ashley GrosCongratulations to Grad II Ashley Gros for receiving an AOTF Virginia Occupational Therapy Association Fred Sammons Endowed Scholarship. Ashley is so deserving of this highly competitive scholarship. Ashley is an exceptional individual who embodies the qualities and potential that the AOTF Scholarship seeks to nurture and support.

Ashley is entering her second year of the Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program and started our dual degree OTD-PhD program, in which she will begin her research career by taking courses in the PhD program while working on her entry-level occupational therapy doctorate degree.  Beyond her academic achievements, Ashley has consistently been engaged in meaningful community service. Her involvement with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, exemplify her commitment to giving back. Her values of intentionality, love, compassion, and trust are not mere words but are reflected in her actions, making her a reliable and compassionate contributor to the community.

Her dedication to intellectual growth, leadership, and community service, coupled with her strong values, made her an outstanding candidate for this scholarship. I have no doubt that Ashley will continue to excel academically, make a significant positive impact on her community, and emerge as a leader in her chosen field.
