Our team
Christine McNichols joins the occupational therapy and gerontology departments as a postdoctoral fellow. She is an occupational therapist interested in cancer rehabilitation and individual and system level outcomes within acute care services. After graduating from VCU’s occupational therapy program, she has practiced as an acute care therapist with additional time spent in outpatient and pediatric services. For her PhD, she analyzed the utilization of occupational therapy services for patients with cancer diagnoses in acute care settings. Her current research interests include the utility of occupational therapy services on patient and system centric levels, the provision of occupational therapy services for patients with cancer diagnoses, large data management, and the effects of occupational therapy services on older adults.
